Delivering For Regional Victoria | Budget 19/20

Last year, we took a positive plan to the people of regional Victoria. With this year's Budget, we're delivering on that plan, and delivering on our promises. If you’re sick, you shouldn’t have to spend hours in the car just to get the care that you need. It’s why we’re delivering 500,000 extra appointments with medical specialists, based in regional Victoria. Making sure local patients can get the care they need in the communities that they’ve helped to build. We’re upgrading and fixing our regional hospitals, building new regional parenting centres. And investing in healthy smiles for our kids, with the rollout of free dental for students across the state. We’re continuing our rebuild of regional roads, investing in new regional trains. And we’re doing it using local workers and local materials. Just like we said we would. We also promised to put power back in the hands of Victorians, and by installing solar on more than 700,000 homes, that’s exactly what we’re doing. We’re continuing our transformation of TAFE. Adding new courses to the Free TAFE list. And upgrading our regional campuses. And to make sure our kids are getting the very best start in life, we’re upgrading local classrooms, building new schools and rolling out universal three-year-old kinder. Starting in regional Victoria first. These are the things we said we would do. And with this Budget, we’re delivering on our promises. Delivering for all Victorians.
