Fixing our regional roads

Our regional road network is the backbone of regional Victoria, connecting communities to work, study and to each other.

They are also essential in making sure regional Victorians make it home safe.

But after decades of underinvestment and inattention, we knew our country roads were in need of an overhaul.

The year’s Budget continues our work fixing and maintaining Victoria’s regional road network, investing $425 million.

A further $30.3 million will go towards delivering upgrades, traffic light installations, and pedestrian improvements in some of our fastest growing communities.

The Victorian Budget 2019/20 also includes a massive $60.8 million investment to keep the growing city of Ballarat moving, upgrading the city’s key intersections and reducing bottlenecks for local drivers.
